Bad Weather Reminder
It's that time of year, so please be sure to pay attention to news broadcasts and social media concerning early dismissals, delays, or closings.  In the event of weather emergencies that affect Scott Teays or the entire county, the School Messenger system will be activated, and you will receive a phone call message and/or email.  It is critical that your phone number be updated in our computer system if you have recently changed numbers.   Call and speak with Kaylene or Kristi in the office (304) 757-7279 to update your phone number.   In the event of an early dismissal, your child's teacher will go by the early dismissal plan you determined at the beginning of the school year.  If you need to make changes to your child's early dismissal plan, contact your child's teacher today!  In the event of a school closing or delay, please do NOT call the school.  Our phone lines need to stay clear so emergency personnel can make contact if necessary.

Yearbook-To help our yearbook be the very best it can be, parents, grandparents, and family members can upload candid photo images for consideration in our yearbook (class parties, field trips, etc.)  You can upload images through the Shutterfly App or by visiting  You can also email your pictures to  The more kids in the photo the better!

Growth Mindset Moment
As parents, you play a huge role in influencing the mindset of your children, so it’s important for you to model a growth mindset for your children. Showing your children that you are excited by challenges, see mistakes as learning opportunities, and understand the value of practice and trying different strategies will go a long way in cultivating their growth mindsets!
