From The Principal,

Greetings Scott Teays Families!  I hope this message finds you and your family well.  As we near the Thanksgiving holiday, this year continues to look much different than years past, but I wanted to take a moment to let you know how thankful we are to serve you and your children.  Personally, I believe family is everything and this includes our wonderful Scott Teays family. Educating children during a global pandemic is new for all of us, but we continue to be thankful for the shared partnership with our wonderful students and families who bring a smile to our faces during these continued uncertain times.  I hope your Thanksgiving is especially wonderful this year!   ~Mrs. Isaacs

When students are absent, county policy requires that they return the next day with a written note.  This can be a note from a doctor or a written note from a parent or guardian.   Please be sure to send a note on the day your student returns as we are not permitted to accept late notes.

Please make sure your child’s I-Pad is charged for school each day.

Covid-19 Health Check

Please complete the health assessment you received at the beginning of the school year prior to sending your child to school.  If your child has a fever or other symptoms of Covid-19, he or she must stay home for ten (10) days unless they have a note from a doctor stating they may return sooner.  Please refer to the guidelines outlined by the WV Department of Education and DHHR that were provided earlier this year or call the STE office if you have questions.

Putnam County Schools Covid-19 Procedure Reminders:

*The office cannot accept deliveries.  This includes forgotten backpacks, homework, water bottles, gym shoes, IPads, etc.

*Students who are checked out during the day are not permitted to return the same day without permission  from the principal.

Christmas Assistance 2020

If you are in need of Christmas assistance, please feel free to contact Hurricane City Hall at 304-562-9906 or you can contact our school counselor, Mrs. Rumer at 304-757-7279 ext. 3120.

2019-2020 Yearbooks

We have extra 2019-2020 yearbooks for sale.  If interested, please call the office at 304-757-7279.  Softcover is available for $20.00.

Jackets and Coats

Please be sure to write your child’s name on the tag of his or her jackets, coats, and sweatshirts.  This is especially important with cooler weather now arriving.  We quickly accumulate lots of nice clothing on our Lost and Found rack.  At the end of each month, unclaimed items are donated to local outreach organizations.  It’s easy for us to match clothing to the owner and ensure that it returns home when tags are labeled!

Schoology for 1st-5th Grade

Please check your child’s grades regularly in Schoology.  If you need assistance with setting up your parent account, please call the office. (304) 757-7279.
