Out of Zone Requests for the 2025-2026 School Year
Please remember that any student attending Scott Teays Elementary school as an ‘out of zone’ student, must re-apply each school year. Acceptance does not automatically renew, and it is important to note that students may be ‘bumped’ to their home school at any time during the year should enrollment numbers change resulting in overcrowding. Out of zone applications can be obtained on the Putnam County Board of Education website or at the school office. Out of zone decisions will not be finalized until August once enrollment numbers are determined.

Spring picture previews are being sent home today. These previews include printed pictures along with purchasing information. Please review the pictures and if you choose not to purchase any or all of the pictures, kindly return the non-purchased packages to the school.

Good evening!
Once again, we will be joining the statewide celebration honoring military families with an appreciation week in April. We wanted to give you advanced notice since this theme week falls immediately after spring break. Listed below are the specific dates and attire for the week.

Tuesday, April 8 — Crazy Camo Day (wear your favorite camouflage clothing)
Wednesday, April 9 — Red, White, and Blue Day (wear colors honoring our nation's flag)
Thursday, April 10 — Red Day (Remember Everyone Deployed)
Friday, April 11 — Purple Up Day (wear purple, which is a mix of all the military branch colors)

STES: T-shirts are being sent home today with students who earned them by participating in the Save Around fundraiser. Please check your child's backpack. Thank you!

Popcorn Fridays begin this week, Friday, November 1st. Student can purchase a bag of popcorn for $1 or puchase a Popcorn Pass for $20 that is good for the entire year. Popcorn is delivered to their room after lunch.

Reminder that tomorrow is UNITY DAY for STE. Students are encouraged to wear Orange or any type of attire that promotes Kindness or Unity.

STES: The first PTO meeting of the year will take place this evening at 6:00 in the school library. Hope to see you there!

Parents/Guardians,
Please remember to label your child's lunchboxes, water bottles, jackets and coats. This helps get items returned to their owner when they end up in the lost and found. Thank you so much!

September lunch menus were sent home with students last week. Please note that on 9/6, 9/9, 9/16, 9/27 and 9/30 students will be offered an "Option B" lunch. On these days, students will need to simply let their homeroom teacher know if they are choosing the optional lunch first thing in the morning, so the kitchen staff can prepare an appropriate amount of these lunch trays.

First PTO meeting of the year will be Thursday, September 5 at 6:00 in the library. Hope to see you there!

Parents and Guardians,
If you have not already submitted the required beginning of the year documents online, please do so by visiting putnamschools.com and clicking on the link. The link and QR code are also posted on our Schoology page.
Thank you!
